Deputy succumbs to cancer | News

CORDELE, GA- A Lieutenant with the Crisp County Sheriff's Office, who battled cancer for two years, died early this morning.
34-year-old Michael Sangster had skin cancer. He was a 12-year-law enforcement veteran and trained young deputies for the Crisp County Sheriff's Office.
The Sheriff says Sangster gave much to his community.
"He was a very good man and he did a good job," said Crisp County Sheriff Donnie Haralson. "He was very dedicated. I was very proud to have him a part of the Sheriff's office in Crisp County and I know the people of Crisp County were also proud of him."
Lieutenant Sangster passed away around 1:00AM morning at the Wilson Hospice House. He's survived by a son, his parents, and a sister among other relatives.
Funeral arrangements have not been announced yet.
