CRISP and SUMTER COUNTIES, GA - News release from South Georgia Technical College

South Georgia Technical College will be hosting a free informational session and forum on careers in electricity on Tuesday, May 9th at 7 p.m. in the South Georgia Technical College Crisp County Center Auditorium in Cordele.

South Georgia Technical College instructors Mike Enfinger and David Mayo will be leading the relaxed, information session that is open to anyone who is interested in finding out more information about the careers and career opportunities associated with the electrical/electronic fields.

Topics covered at the informational session will include: “Career opportunities in electrical/electronics,” “Is this a promising field for my graduating senior?”

“What can I expect to make as a technician?” “Are there really any jobs around here in these fields?” “What kind of education do I need?” and “What does it cost and is there financial aid?”

The purpose of the informational session and forum is to answer these types of questions and more regarding the exciting open-ended fields dealing with electricity.

The session is open to anyone, any age, just starting out or needing a career change. Employers, educators, and parents are encouraged to attend as well.

South Georgia Technical College instructors Mike Enfinger and David Mayo have diverse field experience backgrounds with many years of both practical career and teaching experience.

Registration is currently underway for summer semester at South Georgia Technical College. Registration will be held on Tuesday, April 24th and Summer semester classes begin on Monday, May 31st, 2012.
