SGTC nominee Griffin Lumber Company wins Small Manufacturer of Year for GA

CRISP and SUMTER COUNTIES, GA - News release from South Georgia Technical College

Griffin Lumber Company, Inc. of Cordele, a fourth generation lumber company, was presented with a plaque recently for their nomination as a Small Manufacturer of the year for 2012.

A small manufacturer is classified as a company with less than 150 employees.

South Georgia Technical College nominated Griffin Lumber Company Inc., of Cordele as a Small Manufacturer of the Year as part of the 2012 Georgia Manufacturing Appreciation Week celebration.

SGTC hires new Diesel Equipment Technology instructor

Craig Kelly of Americus has been hired as the new South Georgia Technical College Diesel Equipment Technology instructor on the Americus campus, announced SGTC President Sparky Reeves recently.

Since 2008, Kelly had been employed as Lead Diesel Technician and Assistant Shop Manager at J and M Tank Lines, Inc.
