Two arrests made in MBM Food Services fuel theft

CRISP COUNTY, GA - News release from Crisp County Sheriff's Office

According to Sheriff Donnie Haralson the Crisp County Sheriff Office was called to MBM Customized Food Service on April 4th, 2012. 

The manager of MBM reported they had discovered approximately $20,000 in fuel theft.

According to MBM the loss for the year could be upwards toward $100,000.00 depending how long this activity was going on.

Moore, United States Attorney for the Middle District of Georgia, announced that Devasko Dewayne Lewis , age 33, of Cordele, Georgia, was taken into federal custody and appeared before United States Magistrate Judge Stephen Hyles in Columbus, Georgia for initial appearance and bond proceedings on December 21, 2011. 

1974 murder of Warner Robins girl solved

On August 1, 1974, Ima Jean Sanders, a white female then 13 years old, disappeared from Warner Robins, GA, where she resided.  In April 1976, skeletal remains of a young female were found in a wooded area off GA Highway 96 in Peach County, GA. The remains could not be identified and were retained by the GBI Crime Laboratory in Atlanta.

Cary Rhodes, 57 years of age, of Taylorsville, Georgia (Bartow County), was arrested on Thursday, October 27, 2011, by FBI agents and Task Force Officers after coming to the attention of undercover officers on the internet.

DeKalb co. schools speech pathologist pleads guilty to medicaid fraud

ATLANTA, GA – News release from Georgia Department of Law

Kenneth A. Thisdale, a DeKalb County School System speech pathologist, pled guilty today in DeKalb County Superior Court to one count of Medicaid Fraud (O.C.G.A. § 49-4-146.1(b)) for a false billing scheme.

Thisdale was employed by a company which had entered into contracts to provide speech therapy services to students in DeKalb County Schools.

Many of the students who received therapy services pursuant to the contracts were Medicaid recipients.
