A Lunch and Learn Workshop entitled ”Show Me the Money” will be held 12:00 to 1:00 PM, March 6th 2012, in the Cordele-Crisp Chamber of Commerce Board Room (502 S 2nd St Cordele, GA 31015(502 S 2nd St). The fee for the event is $10 per participant. USDA Area Specialist Patricia Simmons will be the workshop speaker.

Ben Hill chamber and UGA Tift campus bringing workshop to community

TIFTON, GA – The Fitzgerald-Ben Hill County Chamber of Commerce along with the University of Georgia is setting up a How to Maximize Available Resources to Create and Save Jobs workshop.

The workshop will be at the UGA Tifton Campus Conference Center from Wednesday, March 14 – Thursday, March 15.

The Michael Sangster Benefit Team Bass Tournament will be Saturday, March 10 at Lake Blackshear from safe light to 3 p.m.

The 1st place winner will get $2,000 and the Big Fish winner will get $250.

Community League Gala at Lake Blackshear Resort

LAKE BLACKSHEAR, GA – The Community League Gala will be at the Lake Blackshear Resort and Golf Club Friday, March 9 at 7:30 p.m.

There will be live music, cash bar and a silent auction. Tickets are $275 for a table and $30 per person.

The event is being sponsored and presented by the Cordele-Crisp Community League and the Lake Blackshear Resort and Golf Club.

CRISP COUNTY, GA - News release from Fishermen For The Hungry

The accumulated efforts of Northern Heights Baptist Church, Ameris Bank, 50-60 Volunteers, The Fishermen For The Hungry, and the Albany Ga. Branch of the Second Harvest of South Georgia distributed 675 cases of groceries, weighing approximate 22,250 lbs, with a estimated retail value of just under $20,000.00 to our community Sat. February 18th.
